HP Dimmer Unlocking

When the Lock function has been used on an HP Dimmer, unlocking requires accurate use of the wheel. A faulty or partially faulty wheel may then make unlocking of the dimmer difficult or impossible. In such a case, if access to the dimmer functions are required, the dimmer must be deep cleared as follows:
1. Switch power off.
2. Press and hold the "Mode" and "DMX Bank" buttons while turning power on.
3. Release buttons from step #2.
4. Use the wheel to select 12CH for an HP12, or 6 CH for an HP6.
5. Press the Enter button.
6. Use the wheel to select 240V or 120V outputs as required.
7. Press the Enter button.

All previous settings will have to be restored manually.

It is recommended that the lock function not be used if there is any doubt about the wheel operation. A faulty wheel may be indicated by difficulty in setting a value in a menu, for example it may be difficult to set the start channel to a particular value.
