A.C. Lighting Inc. Unveils its Visions for Worship Lighting at WFX Spring '09

May 15, 2009 05:21

The A.C. Lighting Inc. booth (622) at the WFX Spring ’09 show will feature the latest range of innovative and award-winning church lighting solutions exclusively distributed by the company in North America. Products on the booth include the first showing at WFX of the new Chroma-Q® Color Block 2™ fixture, which is set to redefine LED lighting.

Also, the booth will feature previous WFX Show New Product Award winners; the Chroma-Q Color Span™ LED fixture, voted ‘Best LED Fixture’ in 2008; the Chroma-Q Color Split™ LED fixture, voted ‘Best Color Changer’ in 2007; and the Jands Vista lighting console range, voted ‘Best Overall Lighting Product’ and ‘Best Automated Lighting Controller’ in 2006. Other technologies on show include the Artistic Licence Art-Net range of ethernet solutions, the D.T.S. Delta 7 RGB moving light and the Madrix LED control software.

Following the enormous success of the Chroma-Q Color Block™ LED fixture with production companies and end users alike, the manufacturer has combined the product’s core elements of modularity and versatility with new single color RGBA optics, 530 lumens output (almost double the original model) and theatrical grade dimming to create the exceptional feature set of the Color Block 2 fixture.

The Color Span fixture is a configurable, low profile, ultra bright LED unit for indoor / outdoor wall wash, cove, effects and feature lighting applications in the architectural and entertainment sectors. The Color Span gives lighting designers, specifiers and end users the flexibility to specify the fixture to meet their particular application needs, including selecting from a choice of IP rating, body length, body color, LED colors and optics options.

Other Chroma-Q LED products featured include the Color Split fixture for creating innovative ‘split color’ effects from a single unit, and the Color Punch™ fixture for a ‘punchy’ light output from an extremely compact unit. In addition, the stand features the Color Web™ LED range of 125mm / 5″ and 250mm / 10″ cell pitch modular video effect panels. Artistic Licence is the designer and manufacturer of Color Web, which is exclusively distributed in North America by A.C. Lighting Inc.

Also on display is a selection of models from the WFX award-winning Jands Vista lighting console range. Models include the Vista T2 Linux-based all-in-one solution, which provides the benefits of a full size console combined with the simplicity of the Vista’s visual interface. In addition, the mid-range Vista I3 provides all the revolutionary features of the Vista T2 in an economical package, and the extremely portable Vista S1 control surface turns a Windows or Mac OSX based laptop into a lighting console. All models share exactly the same visual interface and controls. As a result, making a transition between models is seamless.

As networking requirements for entertainment technology applications continue to increase, many of the leading control companies, such as Jands, are supporting the Art-Net product range. Developed by Artistic Licence, this TCP/IP based communication protocol can co-exist on the same cable with most proprietary protocols. Art-Net is readily available in the public domain on a royalty free basis and is supported by a host of manufacturers. A.C. Lighting Inc. supplies the complete range of Artistic Licence Art-Net ethernet solutions, which are the perfect complement to lighting control products such as the Jands Vista.

In addition, “A.C.” will be showing the latest LED fixture from D.T.S. Lighting, the ultra bright Delta 7 RGB. With 108 individual P4 LEDs, the Delta 7 RGB offers up to 3 times the brightness of earlier D.T.S. LED fixtures. Other models available include the Delta RGB Full Color range featuring 40 full color (not separate RGB) LEDs, which virtually eliminate the frustrating color separation shadows normally synonymous with LED lighting.

As the use of LED video effect products grows, so does the need for inexpensive pixel mapping and content creation. Madrix is a low cost, user-friendly PC based control software which is ideal for entry-level creative LED systems, such as the Chroma-Q Color Web. Madrix is easy to set up and features a simple interface with two playbacks for cross-fading effects. Content is handled by its own flexible content creator, which enables full creative control of LED products in real time.

As well as the aforementioned products exclusively distributed in North America by A.C. Lighting Inc., the company carries a vast stockholding of the latest worship, theatrical and architectural lighting products, accessories and consumables. This choice of on-the-shelf products, coupled with the international “A.C. Group’s” volume purchasing power, ensures that customers receive competitive prices and the highest level of service and support.
